How I got (Back) Into Custom Corporate Training for In-House Teams...
Early in 2025, a department from one of the US’s top Sport Broadcasting Networks (NDA 😕) reached out to us. The request was simple: they regularly posted long-form videos and wanted help turning them into short pieces for social media.
Straightforward enough! But once we started talking, it became clear that their team wanted (and deserved) to do more. Since the team was primarily photo editors, they were already creating effective photo-journalism stories using photos and the occasional video footage from a shoot. But how could they turn that content into original and effective social videos? That was the question.

Since the team was primarily photo editors, they were already creating effective photo-journalism stories using photos and the occasional video footage from a shoot. But how could they turn that content into original and effective social videos? That was the question.
So the training proposal shifted: instead of “teach us video editing” it turned into: “teach us how to create original short-form content from scratch.”
Expanding on their skill-set gave them the confidence to create materials for social media. Instead of just making cut-downs, they learned how to concept, shoot, and edit high-performing short-form content. Overall, the course taught them to understand social video at a level that gives them an expanded skill-set and real job security.
That's how that 2-month training program was born! And what a fantastic experience it was:
